Wake Up Refreshed

Waking between cycles (at the end of a cycle) helps you feel more alert and rested.

Personalized Timing

Understanding Sleep Cycles

What Are Sleep Cycles?

  • A complete sleep cycle lasts approximately 90 minutes

  • Each cycle includes light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep

  • Waking up between cycles (at the end) reduces grogginess

Recommended Cycle Options:

  • 3 cycles: 4.5 hours (minimum recommended)

  • 4 cycles: 6 hours (standard recommendation)

  • 5 cycles: 7.5 hours (optimal for most adults)

  • 6 cycles: 9 hours (for recovery or long sleep)

  • 7 cycles: 10.5 hours (maximum for most people)

Why 15 Minutes?

The calculator adds 15 minutes to account for the average time it takes to fall asleep. This ensures you get complete cycles from the moment you try to sleep.

Pro Tips for Best Results

1. Consistency Matters

  • Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time daily

  • Use the calculator to establish a consistent sleep schedule

2. Account for Routine

  • Add extra time if you have a bedtime routine (reading, meditation)

  • Consider when you’ll actually get into bed vs. when you start winding down

3. Multiple Wake Times

  • If you need to wake up at a specific time, use the Bedtime Calculator

  • It will show you when to go to bed for optimal rest

4. Experiment

  • Try different cycle counts to see what works best for you

  • Some people feel best with 5 cycles (7.5 hours), others with 6 cycles (9 hours)

5. Use the Download Feature
